Free Brand Tool
Rebrand Brief Builder
Five short steps that turn your firm’s thinking into a written brief you can send to any agency, including us.
The Rebrand Brief Builder is a free tool for law, accountancy, financial advice and consulting firms planning a rebrand. It walks you through the firm, the commercial problem, your clients and competitors, what to keep and avoid, and the scope, budget and timing, then produces a brief you can copy, download, print or email. Your answers are saved in your browser, not sent anywhere.

Why write it down
A brief that’s written down is a brief that holds
Comparable quotes
Agencies quoting from the same written brief price the same job. Without one, you compare guesses about different projects.
Decisions made early
Writing forces the questions a call lets you postpone: who you want to win, who you are compared with, and what must not change.
A reference for the work
When designs arrive, the brief is what they are judged against, rather than memories of a meeting or personal taste.
Questions about the Brief Builder
Is the Brief Builder free?
Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up, and the brief is yours to send to any agency.
Where are my answers stored?
In your own browser, so you can close the page and come back to it on the same device. Nothing is sent to Inkbot Design unless you choose to email the brief. “Start again” clears your saved answers.
How long does it take?
About fifteen minutes. It is worth gathering a partner or two first, but one person should write it.
Do we have to answer every question?
No. Blank answers are left out of the brief. The commercial problem and your competitors matter most: they are what an agency needs to quote properly.
What happens if we send it to Inkbot?
Stuart Crawford reads it and replies by email, typically with a fixed-scope recommendation. If the Brand Equity Blueprint™ fits, it is £7,500 for one brand, paid upfront, and typically takes 4–6 weeks from cleared payment.
Not ready for a brief?
Start with a diagnosis. The free Brand Equity Audit™ is a three-page written review of your firm’s brand, typically within two working days. No sales call, no obligation.
